Army carries out largest airdrop of aid into Gaza on occasion of Eid al-Fitr
The Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army (JAF) carried out on Tuesday the largest airdrop operation on the Gaza Strip, amounting to 14 airdrops with wide international participation, for humanitarian aid that included clothes and foodstuffs, in addition to sweets and children’s toys, targeting sites in the north and south of the Gaza Strip on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
The landing operation occurred in two steps. Two Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft, a United Arab Emirates aircraft, an Egyptian aircraft, and a Republic of Indonesia aircraft participated in the first step, which targeted the southern Gaza Strip, with the first participation.
A plane belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, 4 planes belonging to the United States, a plane belonging to the Netherlands, a plane belonging to the Federal Republic of Germany, a plane belonging to the United Kingdom, in addition to a plane belonging to France participated in the second step that targeted the northern Gaza Strip.
The landing operation, which included boxes of relief and food supplies provided by the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO), comes as a message of solidarity with the brothers in the Gaza Strip on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, in light of the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
The JAF confirmed that they are continuing to send humanitarian and medical aid via an air bridge to be delivered via aid planes from Marka Airport towards El-Arish International Airport, or through airdrops on the Gaza Strip or ground aid convoys.
The number of airdrops carried out by Jordan, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, rose to 77 Jordanian airdrops, and 170 airdrops in cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries.
