Secretary-General of Jordan's Judicial Council (JJC), Ali Musimi, revealed that the number of pending cases in which a decision to dismiss them was issued and were included in the General Pardon Law amounted to 9,824 cases as of Thursday morning.
In a press conference of Thursday Musimi stated that these cases differ from those arrested and convicted.
Work is still underway to sort out the pending cases covered by the General Pardon Law, which entered into force on Wednesday, the Secretary-General added.
