MP al-Saudi: 6,000 foreigners in Jordanian prisons
MP Mohammad al-Saudi confirmed that there are 6,000 foreigners in Jordanian prisons, costing the state Jd50 million annually.
During a parliamentary session to discuss the draft general pardon law on Tuesday, al-Saudi called on the government to clarify these foreigners and expatriates whom the state disburses.
He also called for the law to be referred to the Legal Committee in the Lower House so that the parliamentary session can meet with the government and make the necessary amendments to the law.
