Occupation concerns of infiltration of pro-Iranian squads from Jordanian border
The Israeli occupation army is concerned about the infiltration of pro-Iranian cells across the Jordanian border into the occupied Palestinian territories, according to the Hebrew newspaper Ynet.
The Israeli army has begun preparing for one of the scenarios they are trying to prepare for is an infiltration attempt by those squads, who could be recruited from among the Shia minorities in Afghanistan, for example, train in Iran or Iraq, and be sent to Israeli targets in an attempt to carry out attacks, the newspaper added.
Another concern is that they will be financed by Tehran, and sent through Iraq under the auspices of the local elements that support Iran. From there they will pass through deserts in Jordan - to the occupied territories, Ynet stated.
It also claimed 'Now, operational and intelligence efforts are already being made to thwart such a possibility, and the IDF says that the current order of forces of the army requires an increase - especially after October Seven and in light of dealing with a multi-aspect struggle, along all borders. Changing the size of the IDF, and rethinking The perception of security and the use of force will be necessary to provide effective and rapid protection.'
The newspaper did not rule out the possibility of recruiting populations that are now exempt from service, mainly the ultra -Orthodox.
