Head of the Jordanian National Centre for Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Control (JCDC), Dr. Adel Belbisi, confirmed that has not recorded any infection with the (JN1) mutant.
In a statement to Ammon, Belbisi said that that the Ministry of Health conducted the necessary tests, and no infections with the JN1 mutant virus were confirmed.
Regarding the unknown virus (X), Belbisi said that no infections with an unknown virus have been recorded in the whole world, but rather the World Health Organization’s warnings are about the possibility of a virus more deadly than Corona occurring.
Belbisi also stressed Jordan's readiness to confront the virus if it spreads.
