Cold weather in highlands, mild in other areas on Sunday
Jordan is preparing for weather fluctuations in the coming days as cooler temperatures and rainfall are forecast, according to the latest report from the Jordan Meteorological Department.
On Sunday and Monday, the weather will be slightly cool over the mountainous areas while remaining pleasant in the Badia and plains. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience warm conditions. High-altitude clouds will be visible, and the winds will be moderate southeast, occasionally becoming active.
A mild temperature drop is anticipated on Tuesday, bringing relatively cold weather to most areas of Jordan. However, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to see relatively warm conditions. High-altitude clouds will be visible in the sky, and the winds will be moderate southwest, occasionally picking up in intensity.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, the kingdom will gradually be influenced by the extension of a low-pressure system accompanied by a cold and moist air mass. As a result, a significant drop in temperatures is projected. Clouds will gradually form, and the weather will shift from partly cloudy to cloudy. Rainfall is expected, starting in the northern parts of the country and later extending to include central and southwestern regions.
The winds will be southwest, turning into active west winds in the afternoon, potentially causing dust storms, particularly in the Badia regions.
Today’s peak temperatures will be between 17 and 21 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 8C at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have moderate weather, with highs of 28C and lows of 15C. Petra
