Minister expects foreign aid to Jordan to rise to $4.2 billion in 2023
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, said that foreign aid to Jordan, as of November, amounted to about $3.4 billion, and it is likely that the number will reach $4.2 billion by the end of 2023.
During a meeting for the Parliamentary Finance Committee on Sunday to discuss the draft general budget law for the fiscal year 2024, Toukan added that Jordan received $1.34 billion in regular grants, and 1.58 billion in loans to support the budget and development projects, pointing out that $508 million in grants went to the Syrian crisis response plan, by 22%.
