Foreign Minister from Barcelona: Israel violates Oslo Accords
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, confirmed on Monday that we are facing a very big crisis and everyone must give a clear message to stop the massacres and torment in the Mediterranean region and consolidate peace in the region.
Safadi said during his speech in Barcelona at the 8th regional forum of foreign ministers of the Union for the Mediterranean (UFM) countries that the union was born in order to work to consolidate peace, which is “a comprehensive and lasting peace in the future.”
Israel did not respect the Oslo Accords, Safadi pointed, adding that when the process began in Madrid, there was hope of reaching a safe future, but Israel worked to consolidate colonialism and violate the Oslo Accords.
Safadi stressed that the situation is catastrophic, there are very large massacres, many families are dying in the Gaza Strip, and the infrastructure is completely wiped out.
'Israel must know that we cannot accept the displacement of 1,700,000 Palestinians,' he stated.
