Ministry: Jordan's dams receive 4mcm over last 24 hours
Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Jordan Valley Authority said Monday that rain and valley runoff from rainfall during the past 24 hours amounted to about 3,761 million meters, bringing the total storage in the 15 main Jordanian dams to 68,503 million cubic meters, or 23.78% of their storage capacity amounting 288,128 million cubic meters.
The ministry also added that the rainfall that covered most regions of the Kingdom was reflected in good quantities that entered the dams until Monday morning, the highest of which was in the Al-Fidan/Wadi Araba Dam, which received 1,315 million and reached its maximum storage capacity of 3,306 million cubic meters by 100%, while the King Talal Dam received 684,330 thousand cubic meters with a storage rate of 37.3%, and the Mujib Dam 542,000 cubic meters with a storage rate of 74%.
