Person treated after “swallowed his tongue” on board ship in Aqaba
One of the crew of a commercial ship, LLVO River / Hong Kong, suffocated after swallowing his tongue while the ship was anchored off the southern shores of Aqaba, where the ship requested a distress call.
An informed source stated that the Royal Navy personnel responded to the call and worked to evacuate the case to be presented to the competent medical authorities.
Aqaba Governor Khaled Hajjaj, told Ammon on Thursday that a foreigner suffered a sudden health illness while working on board one of the ships lined up in the Gulf of Aqaba, and he was treated.
There is no truth to the existence of any fire accident or injuries as rumored, and things are proceeding normally in Aqaba, Hajjaj stressed.
