Jordan's representative delivers statement at UN Security Council meeting
Jordan's permanent representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Mahmoud Al-Hmoud, called on the international community to deal with the war on Gaza according to one criteria.
'It is clear that Israel's military actions in the Gaza Strip do not respect the minimum limits required by international humanitarian law, indicating that what Israel is practicing is not considered a right to self-defense,' Al-Hmoud said during a public session of the UN Security Council.
He stressed that Israel will not obtain security and peace unless the Palestinian people obtain security and freedom in their independent state.
