CARC to implement insect protocol on flights coming from France due to 'bedbugs'
Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, CEO of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority (CARC), Captain Haitham Misto, said that the authority will ensure that airlines adhere to the standard procedures applied in pest control and increase their frequency in accordance with the danger index and the necessity of taking a package of precautionary measures and applying the pest control protocol on flights coming from France.
This comes in anticipation of preventing the entry of the “bedbug” insect into Jordan, which has been invading France recently, in order to preserve the health of citizens and travelers, Misto added.
This statement came after a meeting held at the Ministry of Health, headed by the Ministry’s Secretary-General for Health Care and Epidemics, and in the presence of representatives of the CARC and the Department of Epidemics and Communicable Diseases.
