World Bank: Food prices in Jordan record 1.2% increase in August
Food prices in Jordan rose by 1.2% by the end of last August, according to a monthly report by the World Bank, as this coincides with the continued rise in food price inflation in various parts of the world.
Food prices in Jordan continued to rise for the second month in a row after rising by 0.6% last July, despite a decline of 1% at the end of June and 1.9% at the end of May, as mentioned in a recent report.

Globally, domestic food price inflation remains high around the world, according to the World Bank, as information derived from the last month between last May and August, for which food price inflation data are available, shows high inflation in many low- and middle-income countries, Where inflation exceeded 5%.
