Issawi inaugurates, checks on Royal initiatives projects in Aqaba
Royal Court Chief, Yousef Issawi, on Wednesday inaugurated royal initiatives projects in the Aqaba Governorate, in implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah's directives he issued during his meetings with southern governorate's citizens.
Achieving sustainable social and economic development, the positive effects of which reflects on citizens in various regions of the Kingdom is at the top of His Majesty's priorities, as the royal initiatives cover local communities' needs, in an effort to bring about a qualitative shift reflected on target groups.
These initiatives included opening a 400 square meters multipurpose hall, equipped with all the requirements to provide the best services that suit the needs of the people of the area and neighboring areas.
Issawi, who is also head of the follow up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, handed over the keys of new houses to 8 beneficiary families, His Majesty the King ordered to be provided for members of families who died in the chlorine gas leakage accident in the port of Aqaba in June of last year. These houses were furnished and supplied with all supplies and electrical appliances.
Issawi also checked on progress of several development projects across Aqaba.
Concluding his tour, Issawi said that His Majesty the King pays attention to the demands and service and development issues that were raised during His meeting with dignitaries and community members in Aqaba, and orders that they ought to be followed up and studied.
Senior officials in Aqaba accompanied Issawi in his tour.
