Jordan welcomes UN announcement to defuse Safer tanker
Jordan's Foreign Ministry welcomed Tuesday the announcement of the Secretary-General of the UN to begin transferring the oil barrels in the abandoned Safer oil tanker off the coast of Yemen.
The ministry lauded the concerted international efforts that resulted in launching the defusing of the tanker, 'sparing Yemen and the countries bordering the Red Sea an environmental disaster.'
