Local hotel occupancy rates of all categories during the current weekend reached 69% in the capital, Amman, 52% in the Dead Sea, 55% in Aqaba and 26% in Petra.
In a statement to 'Petra' on Thursday, vice president and spokesperson for Jordan Hotels Association (JHA), Hussein Hilalat, said five and four-star hotel occupancy rates reached 57% and 78% in Amman, respectively.
Meanwhile, he said occupancy rate of 5-star hotels in the Dead Sea stood at about 55% and reached 48% in 4-star hotels.
Hilalat noted occupancy rate for the 5-star hotels in Aqaba amounted to 63%, while it hit 58% in the port city's 4-star hotels, adding that it reached 35% and 33% in Petra’s five and four-star hotels, respectively.
