Authorities remove illegal fixtures at King Abdullah Canal
Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) removed illegal fixtures at King Abdullah Canal in the southern Shuna area, as part of its crackdown to preserve the Kingdom's water resources.
In a statement on Wednesday, the JVA said concerned authorities removed violations, in cooperation with the security apparatuses and the Royal Department for Environment Protection, in continuation of its campaign to stop thefts on King Abdullah Canal and the illegal water withdrawal, which would secure farmers' rights fairly.
The JVA added that the clampdown removed a number of illegal fixtures and 4 pumps of different sizes in the area.
