Aqaba received some 100k visitors during Eid holiday
The port city of Aqaba received about 100,000 visitors during Eid Al-Adha holiday, with hotel reservations amounting to 90%, according to Deputy Chairman of Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Hamza Hajj Hassan.
In a press statement on Saturday, Hajj Hassan said the city's border crossings were ready to receive tourists, whose number exceeded 100,000 local and foreign visitors.
He indicated that Wadi Al-Yatm and Wadi Araba land crossings received about 23,500 vehicles and 1,400 buses, adding that booking rate in Aqaba hotels with all their categories exceeded 90%.
