Qatar education ministry to hire Jordanian teachers
The Qatari Ministry of Education and Higher Education has sent a dedicated committee to Jordan with the mission of recruiting educators for Qatari schools in the 2023-2024 academic year.
According to the Qatari embassy in Jordan, exams have been administered to 488 Jordanian teachers across a range of subjects required by Qatar's public education sector.
Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, the Qatari Ambassador to Jordan, explained that this group of teachers represents the second cohort that the Qatari Ministry of Education and Higher Education seeks to hire in order to fill available positions in various schools.
Ambassador Al-Thani stated that for the 2023-2024 academic year, the Qatari Ministry of Education has limited applications for vacant teaching positions to those educators already residing in Qatar and those from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Emphasizing the continued effort to attract Jordanian talent and expertise in various fields, Ambassador Al-Thani highlighted the directives from His Highness the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to provide 20,000 job opportunities for Jordanian citizens.
