Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammad Najjar on Tuesday checked on the Water Authority's scheme to drill 12 wells in the Jordan Valley to provide 4 million cubic meters of water this summer.
During a visit to the site, he said the drawn water, which will be pumped through King Abdullah Canal for drinking purposes, will have a tangible effect on the water supply across all regions.
The construction of one well has been finished and is now pumping 100 cubic meters/ hour, according to the minister.
