FM participates in "closed consultative" meeting of Arab foreign ministers
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, begins a working visit to Cairo, on Sunday, to participate in the work of the three extraordinary sessions of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level.
The sessions will discuss developments in the Syrian crisis, the situation in the Palestinian territories, and the crisis in Sudan.
Preparatory meetings were held at the level of permanent delegates on Saturday, at the headquarters of the Secretariat General of the Arab League, and today a closed consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers will be held prior to the extraordinary sessions.
Jordan's permanent representative to the Arab League Amjad Adaileh, expected that the Arab foreign ministers would agree on a decision that includes the resumption of the participation of Syrian government delegations in the meetings of the council of the league.
