Moderate weather to prevail as temperatures slightly dip Sunday
Jordan on Sunday is expected to remain under the impact of a pleasant and humid air mass, with temperatures record 5-6 degrees below the seasonal average, and fair weather conditions prevailing in most regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Clouds will build up at low altitudes, with a chance for light and scattered showers in the northern areas, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to active, blowing dust in the Badia, the JMD added.
On Monday, similar fair conditions will persist, with low clouds and northwesterly moderate winds, the forecasters said.
Tuesday will see a slight rise in mercury levels. Therefore, it will be moderate in most parts of the Kingdom except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba where it will be warm, the JMD predicted.
Today, the highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom will range between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 9C or even 7C in the southern highlands.
In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 30C and a low of 20C.
