Cold, rain forecast in northern, western regions Saturday
Saturday will see a 'significant' drop in temperatures to become below their seasonal average by about (7-8) degrees Celsius, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
During the evening and night hours, rain showers are expected to fall in the Kingdom's northern areas, sometimes extending to central-western regions, the JMD report said.
In its update, the JMD warns of low horizontal visibility due to dust caused by active winds, especially in the desert areas, as well as slippery roads in areas that see rain, and poor horizontal visibility due to fog formation over hilltops.
On Sunday, the weather will be pleasant almost countrywide, and moderate in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with a possibility in the morning hours of light showers in the Kingdom's north.
As for Monday, a slight rise in temperature will occur, with pleasant weather forecast almost countrywide, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.
Today, temperatures in Amman would hit a high of 15 degrees Celsius, dropping to 6C at night, while the port city of Aqaba would see a fair 27C, sliding to 15C during night hours.
