Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) estimated that 13 cruise ships would arrive at the ports of Aqaba in April.
The cruise ships are likely to arrive in Aqaba, carrying about 16-18 thousand tourists, an official in the ASEZA said.
He added that the visitors contribute to supporting Jordan's economic return through the movement of the tourism transport sector, restaurants, tour guides, vehicle rental offices, and hotels.
He indicated that Aqaba, Petra and Wadi Rum are among the most important areas they will visit.
