Cold air mass to bring chilly, dusty weather on Thursday
The Kingdom on Thursday will remain under the impact of the cold air mass that pushed temperatures 6-7 degrees below the seasonal average, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
The weather will be cold and partly cloudy in most regions, with occasional light showers in the northern and central parts of the country, while winds will be northwesterly with strong gusts, blowing dust in the Badia.
The weather department issued warnings about slick roads in rainy areas and reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in the Badia.
On Friday, cold weather will persist, with clouds at low altitudes and northwesterly winds, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will slightly increase on Saturday but will still be below the annual average. The weather will be relatively cold in most regions, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 13 degrees Celsius and a low of 3C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 26C, sliding to 13C at night.
