Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) warned of expected dust waves during the upcoming cold wave affecting the Kingdom.
'When exposed to dust, health may be damaged as a result of the pollutants it carries inside, the JMD said in post published Wednesday evening, on its official Facebook page.
Groups that may be affected by dust waves are: asthma patients, the elderly, children, patients with immune and respiratory diseases, the JMD explained in its post.
The JMD noted that there are 3 steps that a person must ensure during dust waves, which are: staying in closed places, avoiding open places, using preventive sprays and bronchodilators if the person has asthma, according to the doctor’s instructions, and wearing masks or wet fabric.
