Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) dispatched a new relief aid convoy, in coordination with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)/ Arab Army, to Syrian people as part of the Kingdom's emergency response campaign.
JHCO said the 7-truck convoy is loaded with foodstuffs, blankets, mattresses, health parcels, water packs, medicines and medical supplies, to be delivered through Jordanian-Syrian border to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and United Nations organizations by 'back to back ' transport system.
JHCO’s Secretary General, Hussein Shibli said that the JHCO continues to receive and process donations and coordinate with the Jordanian Armed Forces / Arab Army and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs to deliver donations to those who deserve it in all affected areas and through the Jordanian-Syrian border crossing of Jaber-Naseeb.
To date, the statement noted 16 convoys were sent to Syria so far, bringing the total of trucks dispatched to 131, loaded with relief, foodstuff and medical materials across the Jordanian-Syrian land border.
