FM, Cypriot counterpart agree on expanding relations
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and his Cypriot counterpart Konstantinos Kombos said Tuesday Jordan and Cyprus have a common interest to enhance and expand cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Safadi called Combos to congratulate him on his country's presidential elections and the formation of a new government in which he was appointed foreign minister.
The ministers discussed cementing relations within the European Union framework and trilateral cooperation with Greece, referring to the 'deep and growing' Jordanian-Cypriot friendship and partnership and the continuation of efforts to further bolster ties.
The ministers also discussed regional developments and agreed to continue coordination and build on the solid institutionalized cooperation that was established over the past years.
