Safdai: Arabization of JAF's leadership 'source of pride'
Lower House Speaker, Ahmed Safadi, said the decision to Arabize Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)'s command's is a source of pride.
Speaking at the House's session on Wednesday, Safdai noted decision to Arabize the army's leadership marked an 'important' shift in the national political and military path, which enabled process of Jordan's construction.
This 67th anniversary is a 'courageous historic' decision, which was taken by the late His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal, is a source of pride and glory, he said.
Continuing: 'Arab army defended the Kingdom's soil and engaged in all battles of honor and heroism in Palestine,' referring to JAF's sacrifices defending walls of Jerusalem in the 48's and 67's.
Safdai also referred to JAF's development and modernization under His Majesty King Abdullah II.
