Interior Minister Mazin Farrayeh will participate in the meetings of the 40th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC), Wednesday in Tunis.
The Ministry of Interior said Tuesday in a statement, that the meetings, aim to discuss ways to enhance joint Arab security cooperation, ensure the security of Arab citizens and consolidate their gains.
Arab interior ministers and representatives of Arab and international bodies and organizations will attend the meetings.
The statement added that some financial and organizational administrative matters related to the work of the secretariat will be discussed, and decisions will be taken to appoint directors of Arab offices operating under the purview of the General Secretariat of the Council, which are the Arab Office for Drugs and Crime Affairs, the Arab Office for Civil Protection and Environmental Affairs, and the Arab Office for Combating Extremism.
