A Palestinian- Israeli meeting hosted by Jordan in Aqaba began to discuss the situation in the Palestinian territories, with regional and international participation, according to a source told Ammon.
The meeting's aim, according to the source, is to reach a decision to stop all unilateral actions and enter in a period of calm.
He pointed out that the meeting began with a speech from Jordan delivered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, in which he stressed the need to reach an agreement to stop unilateral measures in preparation for a period of calm during which confidence is built and leads to more comprehensive political engagement.
He noted that other delegations also spoke at the summit and that it is still going on.
