Jordanian plane with 12 tons of medical aid lands in Damascus
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) announced that a Jordanian plane, carrying 12 tons of medical aid, arrived at Damascus International Airport Wednesday, loaded with relief aid for those affected by the earthquake.
This came during a visit by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi to Damascus, during which he met Syrian President Bashar al Assad and Foreign Minister Faisal al Miqdad.
Safadi's visit to Damascus is considered the first official visit by a Jordanian foreign minister to Syria, since 2011.
