Some 31 Jordanian companies specialized in food industries are gearing up to take part in the 28th edition of the Gulfood exhibition 'GulfFood 2023', which will be held in Dubai next Monday.
The companies, specializing in milk and dairy products, spices, coffee, meat, poultry, ice cream, chocolate, beverages, and confectionery, will showcase their products through the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA).
Emphasizing the importance of the event, JEA President Ahmad Khudari said in a statement on Wednesday that the expo represents an opportunity for Jordanian companies to get acquainted with new trading partners around the world and access promising markets, which would turn the Kingdom into a food security regional hub.
'The 5-day exhibition is one the largest annual food and beverages sourcing events in the world, in which thousands of International companies participate,' he indicated, noting that large commercial deals will be concluded on its sidelines.
In turn, JEA Director General Halim Abu Rahma affirmed that the association is keen to constantly take part in the event, due to its worldwide reputation and significance, highlighting that the Jordanian pavilion will be built over an area of 722 square meters.
He also stressed that the association will continue to organize Jordanian participation in foreign exhibitions to promote national products and enhance its presence in global markets, especially in the US, Canada, and European countries in addition to Arab Gulf nations.
