JSO records two aftershocks in Dead Sea, Wadi Araba Tuesday
The Jordanian Seismological Observatory (JSO) recorded two aftershocks, in the Dead Sea and southern Wadi Araba regions, during the past 24 hours.
JSO President Ghassan Sweidan told Ammon Wednesday that the center recorded Tuesday, an aftershock of 3 degrees on the Richter scale, with a depth of 5.7 km, in the area south of Wadi Araba.
Sweidan added that another aftershock was recorded Tuesday, in the Dead Sea, with a magnitude of 3 on the Richter scale and a depth of 12 km, indicating that these tremors were not felt by the citizens, and had no effect on daily life.
