PM attends Arab Board of Health Specializations graduation ceremony
Deputizing for His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh attended the graduation ceremony of a cohort of outstanding specialist doctors in the Arab Board of Health Specializations (ABHS) programs for 2022.
Khasawneh handed over honorary shields to former ABHS heads and secretaries-general. Minister of Health, ABHS acting chair, Firas Hawari, also distributed certificates to the outstanding graduates.
'The ABHS is a leading Arab institution, and is considered one of the most successful institutions of joint Arab action, as it is a major incubator for building the capabilities of our sons working in the health sector, directing and refining them to serve the health systems in various Arab countries, in order to achieve the ABHS mission, which was written by the founding Arab ministers of health 45 years ago, which is to improve health services by qualifying specialists with high professional and scientific competencies,' Hawari said in his keynote speech.
Celebrating graduates from the ABHS programs and honoring the outstanding ones is a new tradition that is held for the first time since the establishment of the ABHS, which comes in conjunction with the Arab Council Forum, the celebration of the 45th anniversary of its founding, and meeting with the Arab Ministers of Health who founded the council, meeting with a delegation from the Arab League and the Council’s partners, and members of the high commission and executive committees of the scientific councils, in the presence of about 300 specialist doctors from various health and academic institutions from 22 Arab countries.
