JFDA recalls batches of Diprofos injections over quality issues
The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Thursday said it is recalling specific batches of Diprofos injections, which are used to alleviate symptoms of asthma and allergies, after the manufacturer made remarks on the quality of these particular batches.
The JFDA assured that the effectiveness and safety of the product, which is imported to the local market, were not affected and that there were no reports of any side effects, adding that the recall is precautionary and will be conducted in coordination with the manufacturing company and its agent in Jordan.
The JFDA Director-General Nizar Mheidat noted that the recall includes bathes carrying the numbers:
He also affirmed that medicines imported to the Kingdom are tested by the JFDA before being distributed in the local market.
