Safadi, Goudjil review Jordan-Algeria stances to support Palestinian people
Lower House Speaker, Ahmed Safadi, and Algerian National Assembly Speaker, Salah Goudjil, said Jordan and Algeria, under the two countries' leadership, share 'solid and firm' positions in defending Jerusalem, Palestinian cause and Palestinian people's right to establish their own independent state.
During their meeting here on Sunday, the two speakers said both people made sacrifices in defending Palestine, and will maintain support to Palestinian people to restore their legitimate rights on their national soil.
The duo also stressed the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship over Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian holy sites, which constitutes a main line of defense for steadfast Jerusalemites to face attempts to Judaize the holy city.
Safadi, in press statements following the meeting, said talks with Goudjil focused on unifying parliamentary positions to support Palestinian people.
Jordanian parliamentary delegation felt 'remarkable' appreciation from various Algerian officials for His Majesty and Jordan and expressed their aspirations to sign more joint agreements to serve common interests, Safadi pointed out.
For his part, Goudjil referred to Jordan's 'unforgettable' positions in supporting Algerian people in the past during difficult times, who will always remember these stance.
He stressed the importance of outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah II's summit with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, stressing importance of the reconciliation talks to unite Palestinian factions, which Algeria hosted last October.
