According to a royal court statement, the meeting covered the strategic ties between Jordan and Canada and means to bolster them across various fields.
The leaders emphasised the importance of opening new horizons of cooperation to address shared global challenges, particularly with regard to food security, energy, and mitigating the impact of climate change.
The meeting also covered the latest regional and international developments, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, as well as efforts to find political solutions to crises in the Middle East.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, Jordan’s Ambassador to Canada Majed Qatarneh, and a number of Canadian officials attended the meeting.
