Jordan condemns ongoing Israeli raids on Palestinian cities
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned continued Israeli incursions and attacks on occupied Palestinian cities, the latest of which was an attack on the city of Jenin earlier Thursday.
The ministry's spokesman Sinan Majali said Israel's military escalation campaign threatens an eruption of a new wave of violence, from which everyone will suffer.
'Violence only generates more violence,' he added, noting that such acts lead to dangerous escalations that threaten safety and security and kill any hope of a just peace.
He urged the halt of Israel's military operations and illegal measures that undermine the two-state solution and prospects for peace.
Majali also stressed resuming negotiations in order to achieve just peace that puts an end to the occupation and establishes an independent Palestinian state on June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
