The Russian Federation condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by a Swedish extremist in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.
In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry described voiced rejection of such heinous acts.
“Burning the Quran represents a provocative and outrageous attack on Islam by radical elements in Sweden”, it said, calling for action to be taken against radical elements.
Such disgraceful practices, the ministry said, reveal the true face of the 'civilized West' and how it deals with those it believes to be inferior.
