Former Minister calls on Jordanian universities to withdraw from international rankings of universities
Former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Tweissi, considered the withdrawal of law schools at Harvard, Yale and Berkeley universities from international university rankings as the beginning of the collapse of the international university rankings game.
Tweissi called on Jordanian universities to withdraw from this game, he said in a Facebook post.
He said that he had published a while ago that Jordanian universities should stop chasing behind international rankings for reasons he explained earlier.
He added that today the first universities in the world announce their withdrawal from these rankings, because they are, as those universities say, a 'commercial game, nothing more.'
Tweissi asked, 'Which of our Jordanian universities will be the first to withdraw from this game?'
