The Jordanian Seismological Observatory Monday denied that an earthquake occurred in the southern Karak and Tafila governorates or adjacent areas.
The observatory received several calls today about an earthquake in the south, said head of the observatory Ghassan Sweidan, adding that the facility is working around the clock monitoring any earth shakes or quarry blasts, but no such movements were recorded.
