Representatives to discuss impact of monthly water bill
Specialized parliamentary committees in the House of Representatives discuss on Monday draft laws referred to it by the parliament, and several issues, most notably “the impact of issuing a monthly water bill on poor families.”
The committee will discuss during its session “the water status” and the readiness of the Ministry of Water to receive the winter season.
The Ministry of Water and Irrigation announced the issuance of monthly water bills, starting from the beginning of this year, instead of the quarterly water bill, with the aim of reducing water losses.
For its part, the Parliamentary Labor, Social Development and Population Committee is meeting to discuss the law amending the Labor Law for the year 2020.
The Foreign Affairs Committee also meets with the President of the Council of Church Heads and Heads of Churches in Jordan, in order to support His Majesty the King's position on the Hashemite Custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds.
