Labor ministry checks up on workers after factory fire
The Ministry of Labor late Monday evening checked up on the conditions of workers in a rubber recycling factory in the Muwaqqar area east of the capital after a fire broke out earlier that day claiming the lives of two people and injuring four others.
The ministry's Assistant Secretary General Abdullah Jubur said that it inspected the factory to determine the cause of the fire, noting that periodic inspections are conducted to prevent similar accidents, work-related injuries and health damages resulting from occupational hazards.
