Cold, cloudy, rainy weather forecast for three days
Weather on Sunday will be cold almost nationwide, with light rain showers forecast in separate parts of the Kingdom and winds will be southwesterly moderate, the Jordan Meteorology Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
In its report, the JMD warns of the risk of fog formation in the morning and night hours, especially over hilltops, and slippery roads in areas that are set to receive downpour.
On Sunday, light showers are forecast in the Kingdom's northern and central regions, which are often expected to extend to southern and eastern areas.
As for Monday, the Kingdom will be affected by an air depression centered over Cyprus, where rain showers are sporadically expected, especially in the Kingdom's western areas. Furthermore, cold, cloudy and rainy weather is set to prevail almost countrywide and downpour is expected to be often heavy and accompanied by thunder and hail flurries, which leads to torrent formation in valleys and low areas.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, the weather will be cold and partly cloudy, with an opportunity for showers in the southwestern areas and parts of the eastern regions.
Today, temperatures in Amman will hit a high of 13C, dipping to 7C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 22C, sliding to 17C at night.
