Ministry receives JD322k to improve health care services
The Ministry of Health received a JD322,000 donation from the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) in support of the ministry's efforts to improve health care services and response to Covid-related risks across Jordan.
The assistance comes as part of the second phase of a 'chronic diseases in light of Covid pandemic' project carried out by the RHAS with support from the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF).
Health Minister Firas Hawari thanked the RHAS for the 'generous donation and consistent support' during the pandemic, especially for noncommunicable disease patients.
For her part, Director General of the RHAS Amal Ireifij underscored the significance of partnership with the ministry to fight chronic diseases and raise health awareness among the Jordanian community.
The RHAS is a Queen Rania initiative aimed at increasing health awareness and enabling the local community to adopt positive health behaviors by conducting development programs to meet the needs of the local community.
