The Kingdom on Wednesday will be affected by a cold air mass accompanied by a depression centered over Cyprus, pushing temperatures down and bringing cloudy skies with rain in the northern and central regions, extending to the southwestern highlands, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
In the evening, rainfall will be heavier with thunder and hail at times, the JMD added.
The weather department warned of poor horizontal visibility in the highlands and the Badia areas due to fog formation and dust, slippery roads, and flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas.
On Thursday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected, triggering relatively cold and partly cloudy weather until Friday with a chance for light showers of rain at times, the JMD added.
Today, temperatures in Amman will hit a high of 16C, dipping to 5C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 25C, sliding to 16C at night.
