At the meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, King Abdullah also stressed the importance of the conference in examining means of developing regional cooperation to serve mutual interests, according to a royal court statement.
His Majesty received a letter from Iran President Ebrahim Raisi, delivered by the minister, which covered bilateral ties and means to bolster them.
For his part, the Iranian foreign minister stressed the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship in safeguarding holy sites in Jerusalem.
