Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh announced that December 25, 2022 and January 1 of 2023 will be official holidays on the occasion of Christmas and New Year's.
In a communiqué issued on Sunday, the Prime Minister decided that all ministries, public departments, public institutions and bodies, public universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and companies that are wholly owned by the government will be off work for the holidays, excluding ministries and public institutions, whose nature of work requires otherwise.
Khasawneh also decided that December 26 of 2022 will be an official holiday for Christian employees and students.
