A Cabinet session, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh, on Sunday approved 2022 Administrative Organization Bylaw for Ministry of Local Administration, in preparation for sending it to Legislation and Opinion Bureau (LOB) to complete the procedures for its issuance, while giving it the status of urgency.
The Cabinet also decided to approve the mechanism of Agricultural Industries Promotion Project in Jordan's industrial estates and launch procedures for its implementation.
The step aims to stimulate establishment of foodstuff and agricultural industries that use national agricultural inputs, which would support agri-industrial integration, enhance national security and increase the local added value.
According to the decision, Ministry of Agriculture will pay subsequent financial costs through its allocations within the draft budget 2023.
The Council of Ministers approved an amended bylaw for practicing nutrition profession for 2022, requiring practitioners to have a 'high' level of necessary academic qualifications in specialized dietary degrees.
In addition, the Cabinet approved recommendations of the settlement and conciliation committee, related to settling pending cases between 1,264 taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD).
The decision was taken following requests of overdue taxpayers to the settlement and conciliation committee, in accordance with the ISTD's provisions.
